This unit explained the form and usages of the seven most common ways of expressing the future in English. These included the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, be going + infinitive, present simple, and present continuous. It was very helpful to me to have the the usages of each so clearly defined and explained. For example, I really appreciated the explanation of which tense is usually used to express the various kinds of predictions (such as the future simple for predictions based on no present evidence vs. be going to + infinitive for predictions based on present evidence). This kind of clarity will improve my ability to teach these concepts effectively.
