In this unit I learned a lot about the different methodologies used in teaching english. First I was introduced to the different teaching theories and their pros and cons. later I was introduced to the most common and most encouraged way of teaching for this specific TEFL course, ESA. The Engage, Study, and Activate method of teaching is very clear and it is easy to imagine/ plan real class scenarios using this method. Many strategies and examples of such were given throughout this unit. This information was so helpful in breaking down the steps of teaching within a classroom ranging from small classes to large, and beginner to advanced. Lots of fun suggestions and ideas were introduced that made me excited to apply them in a real classroom setting.
