I have put words to what I knew before, which is unconsciously how hard or easy it is to teach English to students of different levels. I found validation in some things I do, such as thinking of appropriacy of vocabulary and how useful it would be to the student and his or her learning goals. I also learned about language functions which I didn't consider as an aspect to teach before. For instance, I was in charge of vocabulary selection for a businessman who was starting from zero, and for that task I decided that usability would be the most important in terms of growth. And so, I picked a lot of daily phrases like "Good morning", or the days of the week to introduce to him.
