In this unit I learned about two of the four basic skills of language: reading and listening. All four are equally important. I believe that listening to a new language is something that many students could overlook. Hearing pronunciation and being able to separate words from spoken sentence is a key skill to start having a conversation in the target language. Consistent reading gives the students adequate exposure to new words, grammar and sentence structure which then creates a stronger foundation to form their own sentences.
