the different stages of tests make sense to me, it will give you as a teacher a sense of how well each student is coping and what they are retaining in your class, it will help you as a teacher see where more work needs to be done and identify which learners are battling, if its the whole class thats struggling with a certain section of the course or if its just a few learners. then you as a teacher can tweek your lesson and teachings to help focus on those areas that need more understanding.i think as a teacher you will pick up which learners are battling and that take longer to understand the work just from observing in class but i feel doing tests through the year is important to give you a clear indication where the student is battling and those who are strong in certain areas. as this will help adjust your lesson planning to help all students and not just those who battle but those are thriving and keep them thriving without holding them back and also to not confuse those who battle anymore.
