The four aspects of the future tense follow the same general pattern as the present and past. The continuous tense features the auxiliary verb ‘be’ plus the ‘ing’ ending of the verb. The prefect tense contains the verb ‘have’ along with the past participle form of the verb. Lastly the present continuous form contains ‘have’ as well as ‘been’. The key word in each aspect that typically points out the future tense is the word ‘will’. In addition to the four main tense aspects a frequently used future tense pattern is ‘be going’ plus the infinitive of a verb.
