This unit was dedicated to understanding present tense. The use of present tense in English is not the norm in most languages. I learned that English has 12 tenses, which is not the case for many Asian – which have one - or Slavic, - which have three - languages. This is an important distinction as it’s not just a matter of teaching the “proper” tense, but the underlying complicated and irregular usage, which would require regular drills and usage. Unit four was confusing for me, so I can only imagine how it must feel to an English language learner!
