In this unit we have learned theories , methods and techniques of teaching English as a second language .One of the famous type of teaching is PPP-presentation , practice and production. We have understood from the description of this method that it is usually used with young learners , as it is a teaching simple language in lower levels . It is less effective with higher level students who already know a lot of language. There were represented many other methods, but the question is which one is the best?? We can say that it depends on students,,their culture and teacher’s individual circumstances . Another famous method is ESA-engage , study and activate . Which also can be used with higher level students . All lessons should start with engage stage and finish with activate . It is important to remember that teachers shouldnt correct the students during engage and Study stages . And there is big difference between mistakes and errors . So teachers should be attentive while interrupting students and correcting their mistakes.
