This unit went into detail about pronunciation and phonology (the science, study, classification etc. of sounds). We learned how intonation in english language works, which syllables are generally stressed and how a change in stress can change the meaning of a sentence. Also we learned some techniques how to teach intonation and stress. And we got to study the phonemic alphabet and learn about articulation - where and how sounds are produced. I thoroughly enjoyed this unit and refreshing my knowledge about articulation and the phonemic alphabet. Plus I am always happy to learn about teaching techniques that will help my students learn and practise - in this case - pronunciation.
