Until I came across this unit, I thought the future tense was the least complicated! In languages such as Spanish and in English as well, forming the simple future tense has always seemed to be the easiest tense to form. If you know the base or infinitive, there is not much to remember (adding a letter or a few letters to the Spanish infinitive or putting will/shall before the infinitive base in English). Well, it is , of course, more complicated than I had remembered. It's great though to go back and recollect all the learning I've taken for granted through the years. Other than doing more studying about all the tenses so that I can better teach them, I really liked the ideas for teaching the future simple. The song suggestions are great and I am certain I can find more contemporary songs that younger students could relate to. Also, I think the fortune telling activity would be really fun and I great activity for the activate stage. I have a lot of students with wonderful senses of humor and I look forward to hearing the futures they predict for each other!
