Within Unit 10, I learned about the importance of the teacher's attitude. Students are much more likely to participate and retain more information if the teacher is encouraging and positive. As seen in the first video, the teacher begins the class with a negative attitude, does not learn the students' names, reprimands them for various behaviors, and creates an intimidating atmosphere for the students. The difference between the first video and second video lies within the teacher's attitude and how it affected the students. The largest takeaway for this lesson is to be encouraging and positive towards the class, which will in turn help the student's to learn the material more effectively.
