In this unit I learned a lot of terms that I didn’t know I use in everyday language because they were learned naturally. Modal auxiliary verbs are used to indicate obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice. I realized through this lesson that passive voice can be used to change sentence emphasis. Using phrasal verbs is the most familiar yet foreign to me because I didn’t realize I was using them. Relative clauses are dependent clauses that give meaning to the noun in the sentence.
