I spent quite a large amount of time studying this Unit on phonology, which is something that I, as a teacher, have not been exposed to in a systematic manner before. Nor, have I been involved in teaching phonology to my students. However, the Unit provided a good understanding of what phonology is and how to go about it in teaching to students. The detailed sections of STRESS, RYHTHM and INTONATION, as well as the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) were extremely useful, especially the techniques for indicating and teaching Intonation, Stress, and so on. I found the sections on Place of Articulation and Manner of Articulation a little challenging to understand, and I feel I would need from continued learning and revisiting these sections in the Unit.
