Upon reading this lesson, I immediately jumped to "I am good at receptive skills but not productive ones." And this is true, and I will see how I can work on that myself in the next unit. With that being said, I think the straight arrow ESA lesson is a great idea for this because while it's simple, thee is engagement in all three phases and it would keep the students focused, if the material were appropriate. I come across this often with my students who want conversation classes because I have to design class content and structure that is useful and engaging to them. I can work on pre-teaching vocabulary, I think.
