Proper planning can be a great tool for having a proper direction when teaching. Writing lesson plans can be used as an aid for planning, a working document of ideas, and as a record of what has been done. While lesson planning can be seen as very rigid, if done properly it can help a teacher also stay organized. Some parts that teachers should include are objectives, aim, anticipated problems, phase, procedures, and materials. After the lesson, teachers can also self-reflect through an evaluation form which will help keep track of effectiveness of the lesson and what can be improved on.
