In this unit we have learned the tense system , present tenses. Many people accept only three tenses in English , present,past and future . But we as esl teachers should know ther are 12tenses in English . Each time has 4 aspects : Simple , Continous, perfect and perfect continous. As esl teacher s we should know the forms of tenses, their usages , student’s typical errors and activities corresponding to these tenses. It is vital to mention that there is a big difference of present perfect and present perfect continous . With the present perfect cont. is is emphasised the action,not the result , completed action .
