Unit 5 is focused on managing the classroom setting. This unit includes many different aspects as this is a very complex part of teaching which deserves a large amount of attention in order to have a productive learning environment. Specifically, this unit explains the importance of eye contact, gesture, and voice of the instructor. It continues by explaining the different ways to group students and arrange the classroom as well as the pros and cons for each of the type of groupings and arrangements. The unit also highlights the importance of the instructor to keep their front to the classroom, establish rapport, maintain discipline, and create a balance between teacher and student talking times.
