In this unit we learn modal auxiliary verbs and how to describe them to students. We learn that modal verbs can be used to show different degrees of politeness or certainty of something; for example, he SHOULD go to the doctor is less urgent than he MUST go to the doctor. We also learn how to write/say things in the passive or active voice. Lastly, we learned phrasal verbs, which might be better to introduce as vocabulary than in an actual grammar lesson... because they can be confusing!
