In this unit I learned that in your first lesson you can encounter new or existing groups of students. It is very important to establish good rapport and there are a variety of possibilities to do this. It is generally not a good idea to walk into a class and immediately start the lesson without any "warmers". Warmers are fun and can get the students motivated for the lesson. This I believe can have a great impact on how successful the lesson can be. I do feel that the use of native language should be to the minimum if at all, especially in the older classes or the where the students already have some knowledge of the English language. They should feel comfortable to use English even if they are incorrect as this can be worked on in future lessons. It will also allow others students in the class to be more exposed to the English language and more exposure can be beneficial in the end.
