I believe that the four skills -Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking are of equal importance and that we need to incorporate all in every lesson. It’s not like in a day you will practice reading until they will master it. Those skills are not be studied separately. Teaching vocabularies, I admit, gives me a hard time discussing it. Mg students usually asked me how will they improve their vocabularies or how will they memorize a lot of words plus their meanings. Before I thought they just need to know simple words or just the common words used but in this lesson one way to help is to teach them difficult words, specially before initiating a reading activity.
