What I found particularly useful here were the ideas of building and maintaining your rapport with the class. It makes sense that how we conduct ourselves would affect how the students see us. If we do not appear prepared or knowledgeable, the students won't trust us and therefore will lack respect for not only the teacher but the material as well. There is something that I did find to be a little difficult: pronunciation of student names. However, I think that showing effort in learning students' names can strengthen your bond with the students and show that you care about them individually. That's part of giving them personalized attention as well, which is something else that I think will be difficult at times but worth the effort.
