In the previous two years I developed and published a 660-page Career Readiness curriculum that embodied much of the information from Unit 14. I would like to share some of the principles and guidelines I used in the development of the Career Readiness curriculum. I plan to apply these same standards to the coursework development and materials for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Career Readiness was created to provide a sequential, comprehensive and engaging curriculum for secondary high school through adult literacy students to prepare them to be career-ready! Its design takes students on a four-unit, nine-chapter journey through the career development process.
Each chapter and lesson consist of:
