In this unit I could retrieve some knowdlege I have not used in ages. It was really helpful for me to read again about the classification and importance of the four skills that any language has. Receptive skills are as imporrtanty as productive skills, but tearcher usually tend to focus more on productive skills, specially speaking. As teachers it is important to banlance them and teach them as often. Receptive skills not only help students build the language, it also provides them with vocabulary and structures that will expand their understanding of the language and will eventually help them to produce more.
