This unit was on teaching different types of classes such as beginners, individuals, business people, and monolingual vs. multilingual classes. Overall, the teacher needs to be aware of the type of students in his/her classroom so as to effectively advance their English fluency. I think one of the biggest issues in teaching unique groups of classes is the varying degree of motivation of the student. This is something that is very difficult to control as a teacher. I am interested in looking into techniques to working with students who lack motivation. Outside of not being able to do some of the in-class activities we have been learning about, I think teaching one-on-one is a very good choice for a new teacher. Being able to customize material for one student's needs sounds like a good way to practice what I have been learning.
