The different methodologies of learning a language have been used and studied for many years, and while many people think one way is better than another, it just comes to show how all of these different ways of learning languages can be just as important. Grammar-translation is just as important as audio-lingualism, which is just as important as task-based learning. Using all different kinds of methodologies give the language student as many points of references and engagement to learning the language. This unit also showed many different activities that can be used in classes, no matter the level of the student. We then see that the Engage, Study and Activate method of teaching a language is the most effective, because it combines all different methodologies together, as I just stated. This unit also clarified the difference between mistake and error, which is something very important for teachers to acknowledge and understand when choosing to correct a student.
