This unit demonstrated effective ways and wrong ways to portray oneself as a teacher. It ultimately showed that the attitude of the teacher affected the way the class responded to him. The second teacher was much more positive and happy as compared to the first one. He then made the environment more inviting and comfortable for the students to want to engage in the lesson. The first teacher appeared to be more strict which caused the students to feel more intimidated to answer his questions. I personally have a tendency to talk fast when I get excited; thus, it is definitely a strategy I would like to work on to help my students understand me more clearly.
