From this unit I learnt the four crucial areas that a teacher needs to ensure is targeted for a student at all times. These areas are: exposure to language, ensuring that the meaning of the language is understood, ensuring that the language is being practised, and finally that it is being produced. This can be achieved by the teaching of vocabulary, introducing grammatical structures and teaching language functions.
Although there are varying methods involved in carrying out the aforementioned actions the primary methods of focus centre around engaging the students, studying the material and activating what has been learnt.
