This unit covers conditional statements and reported speech. Zero, first, second, third and mixed conditionals are discussed. Their general forms and usages are given, as well as example exercises for teaching them. Reported speech is also discussed. The general verb tense changes involved can be summarized into three rules: present changes to past, past changes to past perfect and past perfect remains unchanged. Time expressions for reported speech are touched upon as well.
