In this unit I learned the ways a teacher can implement a lesson plan to run a class smoothly and effectively. A lesson plan is the framework for how a teacher would like their class to go. Using a lesson plan is recommended for beginner teachers who would do better carrying out a more structured lesson. As a teacher becomes more flexible they are able to diverge from the lesson plan based on how their students are progressing. I learned that the best way to implement a lesson plan is to have a mix of framework and flexibility with the students. Because students learn at different paces the lesson plan gives a good base for students to expand from or stay on to learn at their own pace.
