Unit 12 examines the productive skills: speaking and writing. I learned about the three types of speaking activities in the classroom and how they are controlled by the teacher. Activities like drilling and prompting need to be fully controlled, dialogues and role-plays can be either guided or free – creative – where the language should be created by the students.
