Unit 10 was very effective in showing the correct and incorrect ways of teaching a lesson to ESL students. The first lesson was very rough in that the teacher arrived late, didn't seem prepared, didn't positively encourage the students, along with many other errors. For the second lesson, however, the teacher seemed to care more about the students in that he used their names most of the time, seemed much more prepared, and spoke clearly and concisely to ensure the students understood the lesson. One main thing I would change about the second lesson to make it even more effective is to not include any religious ideas into the lesson. For example, towards the end of the study stage in the second lesson, the teacher mentioned paradise and satan. Doing this, I think, would have a bit of a negative connotation towards the student's learning experience and distract them from the lesson.
