In this unit we learnt about Past tenses - simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous. The difference between the Present tense and the Past tense is mainly in the usage of aux verbs - 'be' changing to 'was/were'; 'have' to 'had'; 'have been' to 'had been' and in the continuous tense form, adding the 'ing' form of the verb. Once this was done in a comparative chart format, it was relatively easier to understand.
