This unit discussed pronunciation and phonology. phonology refers to intonation, stress, and the phonemic alphabet. Articulation was further explored through an overview of the speech organs, different manners of articulation, and different ways to teach pronunciation. I personally really liked learning about the the different pronunciation symbols. As a native English speaker, I have seen some of those symbols, but was never explained how to use them or what sounds it makes. Being aware of each symbol and its sound will make me a better teacher that will ultimately help my students in the long run.
