I learned that I am using the Lexical and ESA approach with my students. I find that they learn best this way. I can now see the importance of not using the grammar-translation method as the students do not gain further knowledge from it, just a comparison or direct translation. I’m intrigued about the silent way and the suggesopaedia methods and how well they were received for ESL. I would want to see a lesson using both methods, out of curiosity.
