I learned the different types of conditional speech and the correct ways to differentiate direct and reported speech. When speaking English it is important to know how to convey a message between the person who is giving you the information and who is receiving the information from you. While this comes naturally to a native English speaker it is incredibly hard to understand why we convert direct speech to reported speech how we do. By not only implementing drills and memorization but also adding in practical speaking work students will be able to grasp the concept of conditionals and direct and reported speech.
