What we should do with beginners level: Keep it simple, be visual rather than verbal, get them talking. Use questions and verbal repetition drills. Use pairwork. Be supportive and praise as often as possible. Respond to individual needs. Be patient with your students. Play lots of interactive games and do not overcorrect them.
2. Individuals (one to one): Positive aspect to teaching individuals - only one level. you should do an analys?s. Concentrate on their interests and your classes should cover all the skills.
3. Young Learners (YLs; Constantly praise them. Constant repetition, slow and simple speech, prepare lots of activities and keep it fun.
Things that you should do and do not it with YLs ;
DO - Always use English in the classroom, speak slowly, use gesture and mime and play games as often as possible.
DO NOT - Use their L1. to have favorite students. Expect them to have all materials and to be afraid to make fun of yourself.
Discipline what you should do or not do it.
to do: Make yourself aware of their problems, change the dynamic as often as possible, be fair and consistent and change activities as often as possible.
don't do it: be inconsistent, break rules, use physical punishment and get angry.
4. Business English; common problems: tiredness, mixed ability, attendance, and motivation.
typical process: level test, needs analysis, the group needs negotiation, plan out the syllabus, test and evaluate progress and post-course evaluation.
5. Monolingual vsç Multilingual: monolingual students all have the same L1. and multilingual students have different L1.
