This unit was an "eye opener" because in many ways it made question if learning such details of grammar is a help or an impediment to learning the language. While I definitely see a lot of good in it, I also wonder if after many years of studying, people fail to learn to speak the language because of an overemphasis on grammar. I never made the distinction between the various forms of nouns, adverbs, adjectives, articles, pronouns and etcetera; however, like many natives we are able to speak and write the language appropriately through exposure to the spoken words. For example, I did not know the reason why I say "more beautiful" instead of "beautifuller" is because the word has more than two syllables! I guess I just learnt it that. This unit seems to be the foundation for some of the following units, therefore I am happy I am now conscious of and is able to give a name to the various parts of speech or parts of the sentences.
