Without the skills to teach new material, a teacher will have a difficult time getting through to students. From the moment the teacher speaks the student will seek guidance and knowledge from the teacher– if they don't feel comfortable in their presence or feel like they can ask questions, the classroom becomes a space for confusion and less a space for creativity and success. Breaking the barrier between teacher and student also helps creates an atmosphere where students feel comfortable speaking out loud and getting feedback and not feeling like they will be reprimanded if they make a mistake or an error.
