The Unit 16 returns to the English grammar of conditionals and reported speech. And through this Unit I was able to take a close look at the different forms of conditional sentences and how to teach them effectively in the classroom. Besides that, another important coverage of this Unit is the differences between direct and reported speech, as well as how to convert direct speech into reported speech.
Basically, there are five main conditionals which are zero conditional, first conditional, second , third conditional and mixed conditional. In this particular section, I have learnt about each of their forms and usages.
Then I have learnt the teaching ideas for teaching conditionals to students.
Later, the subject of reported speech and direct speech was addressed, I also have learnt how the verb tenses changes in different situations, how pronouns and time expression changes. Further to this, I was able to obtain the knowledge on how to teach students about this concept.
In overall, I have mainly mastered the grammar concept on conditionals,reported speech and some relevant important skills that around it to teach the students.
