Past tenses play an important role in English teaching. Students need to be taught on how to use past tenses as the may be incorrectly used if not well explained to the learners. This chapter has taught me that there a different types of past tenses and they my look a bit similar but there are some differences. A good teacher must be able to note these differences and explain them to his learners.
