This unit covered grammar, vocabulary and functions. In this unit, ESA methods from the previous were mentioned and its usages were applied into grammatical lesson, vocabulary lesson and functions-based lesson. A straight arrow ESA method was used in teaching vocabulary lesson and usually teaching vocabulary lesson is for lower level students with learning objective. A patchwork ESA method was used in grammatical structure lesson and it is usually for mid-level students with learning objective. A boomerang ESA method was used in teaching language function and appropriacy, inviting, and suggesting were usually seen in this lesson. I believe that in order for the students to learn new language, they need to be exposed to it often, understand the meanings of the words, how to construct the sentences, and they are able to practice and speak.
