This unit covered the three important areas which includes INTONATION, STRESS, AND PHENOTIC ALPHABET. INTONATION is the variation in both volume and pitch in a whole sentence. One of its example is the expression of emotions, sadness and uncertainty, and it has two most important patterns are rise/fall and fall/rise. STRESS is usually founded in a strong part of words as oppose to INTONATION. And its two simple rules are one word has ONLY one stress and stress only syllables not individual vowels or consonants. And PHENOTIC ALPHABET is a set of symbols that represents the way sounds are put together to form words and this is the most difficult part of the unit.
