In this lesson, I've learned different teaching methodologies,the importance of elicitation and very effective method "ESA". My English study started from the grammar- translation and the lexical approach way. Even though it helped me build vocabulary and grammar, I still couldn't speak after several years of study. Until I moved to an English speaking university, my English had improved a lot. Teachers always used different ways to attract me in the class and encourage me to speak. I felt motivated and I was interested in English.That's why I can't agree more about the "ESA" method. First, the engage phase is very important, a good start brings more students' interests,they'd like to pay more attention in the class.Next, from the study phase, students learn the key points.And in the end, from the activate part, students can apply the new language and practice the language they've known.We encourage students and offer positive feedback at suitable time.I may still need a lot of time to practice these skills, hope from the further study my teaching skills could be better and better.
