Unit 17 gives an overview of different teaching aids and equipment that may be used in an EFL classroom. These include things such as: a whiteboard; overhead projector; visual aids (objects/pictures which may stimulate interest, better illustrate meaning, help with memory process, etc); worksheets and work cards (may act as prompt/cue materials or presenting new material, for example); CDs, cassettes, and DVDs/videos, to present information, for dialogues and interactions, listening comprehension, etc); video cameras, so you can record students and play it back for analysis and discussion; resource books/dictionaries; and computers, especially for video clips or podcasts/audio clips. The unit also gives an extensive list of different online resources for EFL teachers to use (dictionaries, learning websites, media, teaching resources, etc).
