In Unit 6, we learned practically learn by observing a classroom setting what is a better way to teach a lesson. These videos help one realize what one should do and what one should not do. As well as, how a general attitude of a teacher reflects the success of their students. A lesson with a teacher bringing a positive attitude in class will have more success than a teacher bringing a negative attitude. The teacher has to be engaging and encouraging to all students so they actively participate in class activities. A teacher also has to be clear in her instructions using examples and gestures and asking questions to check for understanding. Watching the first lesson I felt confused as to what to do and intimidated by the unpredictable reactions of the teacher. In lesson two I felt more comfortable to participate in class and learn the materials presented I felt less pressure and more comfort. The second lesson was more effective because the students felt safe to voice their answers and participated more because they understood the point of the lesson. That was because the teacher gave them a better presentation how the exercises were to be done by giving them plenty of examples and explaining them what was to be done in the activities by going through with them before handing out the worksheet. Students knew what to do in the second lessons and were not confused. Therefore, all the efforts of the teacher led to a successful class.
