Teaching a new language requiere more than just go straight and teach vocabulary and grammar. This lesson helped me to go deep into the details of each stage of teaching a new language which includes vocabulary, grammar and functions having in consideration their own aspects of usage. For example when teaching new vocabulary have in mind that students need to know things like the meaning, the use, the spelling, the pronunciation, etc. And also have in consideration aspects like the appropriacy to the students, frequency and coverage, teachability, etc when selecting the vocabulary to be taught.
Finally and more important this lesson helped me with good examples of how to use the ESA method for each case.
