Unit 7 covers the topic of teaching receptive skills, these being reading and listening. The previously listed skills are two of the four basic skills in a language. The unit provides further detail in the types of reading or listening and how we use these skills to be effective in language. Continuing on, tactics in successfully promoting receptive skills in students are discussed. Lastly a patchwork "ESA" of a receptive skills lesson is outlined followed by worksheets to assist in completing the end of unit tasks.
