Speaking and writing are equally important because they are both used a ways to communicate. It is the teacher's job, though, to motivate the students to want to communicate in either way. This unit discussed the different ways to incorporate speaking and writing activities, to motivate the class. Accuracy and fluency are both of equal importance when speaking and writing. Accuracy activities will make sure the students understand the language. Fluency activities will allow the students to experiment with different words to communicate creatively. Handwriting, spelling and punctuation are also important, because the all compliment each other to convey what the writer is saying in ways for the reader to understand.
