It's very important to study the grammar of a language to teach it. That's why I think giving a close look to the twelve different tenses of English is absolutely necessary. As one of the roles of the teacher is being a "model" for the student, the teacher has to use the English grammar properly and be able to solve and answer any problem or question that students may have. Mostly because the present simple is the first tense that beginners start to learn and practice when they start any English course. That's why it's essential to teach that tense the best way possible so the student doesn't have any future problem.
