The content that I have familiarised myself with in this unit, that stood out, focused on the teacher as well as the learner and what both their qualities (TEACHER- kind & patient, love teaching, should be able to involve all students equally. LEARNER- willingness to listen, a desire to learn, an acceptance of error correction.),roles (organizer, prompter, participant. LEARNER- age,life experience, assessor.), and responsibilities in the classroom is. The unit also spoke about the different learning experiences, as well as the language level and what type of factors contribute towards motivating the learners to attend the English class.
By learning about the unit I have been equipped with the necessary basic tools, skills and knowledge that I need to be the best teacher I possible could be. This makes me feel more comfortable, as well as confident in persuing my dreams regarding teaching english.
